This year Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers in cooperation with Association of Latvian Young Scientists and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences are inviting to the international event Smithy of Ideas, which will take place on May 19-21, 2017 in Valmiera, Latvia. The main goal of the event is to encourage communication and collaboration between young researchers of the different areas of interests.

During the event it will be possible to present the theme of your research, to meet like-minded young scientists and have a fruitful discussions, and to have fun: solve interactional game tasks, take part in excursion to brewery, bake a pizza and etc.

NOTE! The presentations should be understandable for representatives of other fields of science. We encourage sharing experience of the challenges and problems arisen while working with the scientific research, both solved and unsolved. The presentation should be delivered orally, providing information slides, video or other projectable media.

The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts – 10 May, 2017.

The participation will be confirmed via e-mail. The number of participants is limited to 30 persons.

Guidelines for presentations:

  • The goal, problems, results of the research should be included in the presentation and the questions risen should be stated;
  • The length of presentation: 7 – 10 minutes.

The food and accommodation (dormitories, 2 persons per room) will be provided, participants must cover their transportation expenses.
